AN ORDINANCE ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A BEQUEST
IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000.00 FROM THE ESTATE OF
HARPER HARB, DECEASED, TO BE USED IN THE POLICE
TRAINING PROGRAM; APPROPRIATING SAID SUM OF MONEY
FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. With grateful thanks the Board of Directors
for and on behalf of the City of Little Rock hereby acknowledge
receipt of a cash bequest in the amount of $2,000.00 from the
Estate of Harper Harb, Deceased, formerly Municipal Judge in
the City of Little Rock. The total amount of this bequest,
namely: $2,000.OQ is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated
balance of the General Fund to be used together with other
funds in providing a Police Training Program for the use and
benefit of personnel in the Little Rock Police Department.
SECTION 2. The interest in and love for the role of
the Police Department and the Administration of Criminal
Justice always was upmost in the thoughts and undertakings
of the late Judge Harb and it is with great pleasure that
the Board of Directors accept and acknowledge this bequest
to be utilized fully in keeping with his wishes.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
