ORDINANCE NO. 12,630
AN ORDINANCE AWARDING CONTRACTS; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT;
APPROPRIATING FUNDS; ACCEPTING $24,000.00 FROM THE
LITTLE ROCK CIVITAN CLUB TO FUND A ZOO NURSERY; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation for bids was published and bids received
pursuant thereto for the purchase of certain supplies and improvements
for various departments of the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, lowest responsible and responsive bidders have been deter-
mined -and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize the
purchase of these items from the lowest responsible and responsive bidders.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bids on contracts
for the purchase of certain supplies and improvements for various depart-
ments of the City are hereby accepted and contracts awarded as follows:

SECTION 2. The Board of Directors for and on behalf of the City
of Little Rock and its citizens, hereby acknowledge receipt of a cash
gift from the Little Rock Civitan Club in the amount of $24,000.00 to
be used to construct an animal nursery at the Little Rock Zoo. The sum
of $23,944.00 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of
the General Fund to be used for the purposes herein set forth.
SECTION 3. Upon delivery and /or construction, as the case may be,
of the aforementioned items, complying in all respects with the bidding
specifications and bid proposal, the City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or
warrants in payment of said purchase prices.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
