AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION (254) OF
SECTION 21 -13.1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
PERTAINING TO LICENSES AND PRIVILEGE TAXES;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Subsection 254 of Section 21 -13.1 of the Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows:
(254) Newspaper Publishers:
a) Daily Publications accepting paid
advertising $1,400.00
b) Weekly Publications accepting paid
advertising 70.00
c) Monthly Publications accepting paid
advertising 70.00
d) The tax for newspaper publishers of either
daily, weekly or monthly publications not
accepting paid advertising shall be as
follows:
1. Daily publications 15.00
2. Weekly publications 15.00
3. Monthly publications 15.00
e) Publications sponsored by or as a program of a religious
institution or public or private educational institution
and not engaged in such business for profit are not sub-
ject to the tax levied by this Section.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
