AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING A PORTION
OF WEST 26TH STREET AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF
ELLA M. TRIBBLE'S SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 13th day of September,
1971, asking the Board to vacate and abandon the above described
portion of West 26th Street, as designated on the plat of Ella
M. Tribble's Subdivision now appearing of record in Plat Book
3 Page X15 in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, an amended Petition changing the description of
that portion of said street to be vacated was filed on the 12th
day of October , 1971; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and
has found and ascertained that the portion of the street, herein-
after and above described, has heretofore been dedicated to
the public for a period of at least five (5) years subsequent
to the filing of the plat; that all of the owners of the property
abutting upon the portion of the street to be vacated have
filed with the Board their written consent to such abandonment;
and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such portion of the street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with
the rights of the public generally, in and to the portion of

the street designated as follows:
A portion of a platted street known as West
26th Street, described as: All that portion
of said West 26th Street bounded by Tracts 3,
4, 5 and 6 of Ella M. Tribble's Subdivision, as
per amended plat thereof filed October 3, 1929,
and now of record in Pulaski County Plat Book
3 at page 115
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
