ORDINANCE NO. 12,568
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING A PORTION
OF VALLEY CIRCLE STREET AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT
OF HOCOTT'S PARK MANOR, A SUBDIVISION IN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the
12th day of October , 1971, asking the Board to vacate and
abandon the above described portion of Valley Circle Street,
as designated on the plat of Hocott's Park Manor, a sub-
division, now appearing of record in Plat Book 4 , Page
260 , in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas;
and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the
notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question
and has found and ascertained that the portion of the street,
hereinafter and above described, has heretofore been dedicated
to the public for a period of at least five (5) years subsequent
to the filing of the plat; that all of the owners of the
property abutting upon the portion of the street to be vacated
have filed with the Board their written consent to such abandon-
ment; and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such portion of the street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with
the rights of the public generally, in and to the portion
of the street designated as follows:

A 45 foot right of way street known as Valley
Circle located in the SW1 /4 NE1 /4 and the NW1 /4
SE1 /4, Section 31, T -2 -N, R -12 -W, Little Rock,
Arkansas, and being more particularly described
as:
Starting at the SE corner of the SW1 /4 NE1 /4,
Section 31; thence South 27.30 feet; thence N
811501W, 165.50 feet; thence N 750171W, 202.90
feet; thence N 790371W, 128.50 feet; thence N
121161E, 96.00 feet; thence N 820241W, 136.30
feet to the Southerly right of way line of Valley
Circle, said point being the point of beginning;
thence N 271161W, 45.14 feet; thence S 671171W,
123.92 feet; thence along the arc of a 125 ft.
radius curve to the left having a chord with a
bearing and distance of S 36 °14130 "W, 128.30
feet; thence S 4 °56130" W, 95.80 feet to the
Northerly right of way line of North Lookout
Street; thence N 65 018'28" E along said Northerly
right of way line, 93.82 feet; thence along the
arc of a 25 foot radius curve to the right having
a chord with a bearing and distance of N 540251W,
43.20 feet; thence N 5 035' E, 26.90 feet; thence
along the arc of an 80 foot radius curve to the
right having a chord with a bearing and distance
of N 360261E, 82.10 feet; thence N 67 °171E, 127.38
feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
