ORDINANCE NO. 12,548
AN ORDINANCE AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN SUPPLIES AND
EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY THE CITY; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation for bids was published and bids received pursuant
thereto -for the purchase of one tractor -front loader and excavator for
use,by the Parks Department and Dress and Work Uniforms for the Fire
Department; and
WHEREAS, lowest responsible and responsive bidders have been
determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize
the purchase of these items from the lowest responsible and responsive
bidders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF-DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bids on contracts
for the purchase of one tractor -front loader and excavator and uniforms
for the Fire Department are hereby accepted and contracts awarded as
follows:

One tractor -front loader Twin City Ford Tractor, Inc. $3,890.00
and excavator 3600 Jacksonville Road
P. O. Box 3265
North Little Rock, Ark.
Actual cost for said tractor is $5,690.00 and City was allowed a
discount of $1,800.00 for one 1963 Massey - Ferguson tractor used as a
trade -in on the new machine, which trade -in has been approved.

Gross price is listed for the above uniforms, which is subject to
a One (1 %) percent discount when paid in 10 days and a Five (5 %) percent
Arkansas Preferential by request of the dealer.

SECTION 2. Upon delivery of the aforementioned items, complying
in all respects with the bidding specifications and bid proposal, the
City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed
to execute the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of said purchase
price,
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
