ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING THE STREET BETWEEN BLOCKS 1 and 2,
AND THE EAST FIFTY FEET OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 2, SIDNEY J. JOHNSON'S
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 1st day of June 19719
asking the Board of directors to vacate and abandon all of the street
between Blocks 1 and 2, and the east fifty feet of the alley in Block 2,
Sidney J. Johnson's Addition to the City of Little Rock, as designated
on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record in Deed Book AB,
Page 282, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject
however, to any public easements in said street and alley; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of Directors
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained thst the street
and alley, hereinbefore described, have been dedicated to the public use
as a street and alley, as herein described; that all of the owners of
the property abutting upon the street and alley to be vacated have filed
with the Board of Directors their written consent to such abandonment;
and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by
the abandonment of such street and alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the street and alley designated as follows:
Entire block of Abigail Street between West 12th and 13th Streets
and the east fifty feet of the alley in Block 2 of said Addition
contiguous to said block of Abigail Street
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said street
and alley.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk,
shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded
in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3, This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
