11827I RESOLUTION NO. 11,827 2 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 3 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH RECOVERY CENTERS OF 4 ARKANSAS TO PROVIDE SUBSTANCE ABUSE 5 TREATMENT SERVICES FOR ADOLESCENTS FOR THE on 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 LITTLE ROCK COMMUNITY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $200,000; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety and community- building, and WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 04 -4278 to solicit proposals for substance abuse treatment services for Little Rock adolescents, and WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends Recovery Centers of Arkansas for a contract award for adolescent substance abuse treatment services in the Little Rock community, and WHEREAS, the Commission on Children, Youth and Families endorses this contract recommendation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Recovery Centers of Arkansas in an amount not to exceed $200, 000. Funds for these programs are from FUTURE - Little Rock tax 2 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account 3 number 105 - 035 -T218. 4 Section 3. The term of the contract is for October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005. 5 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 6 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 7 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 8 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 9 originally a part of this resolution. 10 Section 5. Repealer.
