ORDINANCE NO. 12,688
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND MAKING SAME A PART
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND ASSIGN-
ING SAME TO WARDS
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, by the owner of the hereinafter
described lands, praying that said lands be annexed to and made
a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of August, 1972, the County
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, found that the petition was
signed by a majority of the owners in area and in number of the
following described lands located in Pulaski County, Arkansas;
that said lands are contiguous and adjoining the present corporate
limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that an accurate
plat or map of said lands had been filed with and made a part
of said petition; that proper notice had been given for the
time and in the manner prescribed by law, and that all things
pertaining thereto had been done in the manner prescribed by law,
and that said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, subject to the acceptance of same
by the Board of Directors of said City at the proper time as pro-
vided by law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from
said order of annexation made by the County Court has expired
and no appeal has been taken from said order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described lands
contiguous and adjoining the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
be, and the same are hereby, accepted as part of and annexed
to and made a part of the City of Little Rock:
Property lying in the SW4 Section 31, T -1 -N R -12-W,
Pulaski County, Arkansas
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 258, Section 'D'
Windamere Subdivision said point of beginning being on
the East right -of -way line of Geyer Springs Road; thence
Northerly along the East right -of -way line of Geyer
Springs Road to the North right -of -way line of Dreher
Lane; thence Easterly along the North right -of -way
line of Dreher Lane to the Southwest corner of Lot 32
Section 'B', Windamere Subdivision; thence Northerly
along the West line of said Lot 32 - 130 feet to the
Northwest corner thereof; thence Northeasterly along
the North line of Lots 32, 33, 34 and said North line
extended to the Northwest corner of Lot 35 Section 'B',
Windamere Subdivision; thence Northeasterly along the
North line of said Lot 35 to the Northeast corner thereof;
thence Easterly along the North line of the SW4 Section
31 to the center of Section 31; thence Southerly along
the East line of the NE4 SW-7-4- Section 31 to the South-
east corner thereof; thence Westerly along the South
line of the said NE-7-4- SW-1-4 - 678.54 feet to the Northeast
corner of Lot 70 Section 'B', Windamere Subdivision;
thence Southerly along the East line of Lots 70 through
83 of said Section 'B' to the Southeast corner of Lot 83;
thence Westerly along the South line of said Lot 83 to
the East right -of -way line of Shelley Street; thence
Southerly along said East right -of -way line to the North
right -of -way line of Base Line Road; thence Westerly
along said North right -of -way line to the Southwest
corner of Lot 84 Section 'B', Windamere Subdivision; thence
Northerly along the West line of Lots 84 through 100
said Section 'B' to the Northwest corner of Lot 100;
thence Westerly along the South line of Lots 104 through
107 of said Section 'B' to the Southwest corner of
Lot 107; thence South to the South line of Section
'D' Windamere Subdivision; thence Westerly along the
South line of Section 'D', Windamere Subdivision (as
recorded in Plat Book 18, Page 44, Pulaski County,
Arkansas) to the Southwest corner of Lot 258 said
Section 'D' and the point of beginning of the herein
described land.
Section 2. That the above described lands shall
be annexed to and made a part of Ward No. 4 of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, and the same shall henceforth be a
part of said Ward as fully as existing parts of said Ward.
