AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
AN AERIAL LADDER FOR USE BY THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT; WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING;
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $5,150.00
FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE
GENERAL FUND; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK,'ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. A contract for the purchase of one aerial
ladder for use by the Fire Department, complying in all re-
spects with the plans and specifications on file in the
Purchasing Department, is hereby awarded to American La France
at a cost, including tax, not to exceed Five thousand, one
hundred and fifty ($5,150.00) dollars. It being understood
that the City will pay the freight charges on said ladder from
the factory to Little Rock, Arkansas from funds heretofore
appropriated in the 1972 Budget.
SECTION 2. The sum of $5,150.00 is hereby appropriated
from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to be used
in payment of said purchase price.
SECTION 3. There is an immediate need for the aerial
ladder provided for in Section 1 hereof and American La France
assures immediate delivery, therefore, under the circumstances
existing which are declared exceptional, competitive bidding
for said ladder is hereby waived.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
