ORDINANCE NO. 12,729 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE VI OF CHAPTER 43 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS REVISING THE PROCEDURE FOR RECLASSIFYING ZONING DISTRICTS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. That Section 43 -40 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, is hereby amended to read.as follows: SECTION 43 -40. Reclassifying Zoning Districts. (Y) Additional areas may be included in the Metrocentre district, subject to a public hearing, a written recommendation by the Housing Authority and /or the Department of Housing and Urban Development within thirty (30) days, recommendation by the Planning Commission, and approval by the City Board of Directors, provided the following requirements are met: (a) The land must cover either a minimum area of 90,000 square feet or one city block exclusive of any alley. (b) The area must be adjacent to, not diagonal from, the Metrocentre district. (c) Site development plans are submitted to the Planning Commission. (2) Additional areas may be included in the General Business district subject to a public hearing, a written recommendation by the Housing Authority and /or the Department of Housing and Urban Development within thirty (30) days, recommendation by the Planning Commission, and approval by the City Board of Directors provided the following require- ments are met: (a) The land covers either a minimum area of 45,000 square feet or one -half a city block exclusive of any alley. (b) The area is adjacent to, not diagonal from, the General Business district. (c) Site development plans are submitted to the Planning Commission. (3) Additional lands may be included within the High Density Residential district subject to a public hearing, a written recommendation by the Housing Authority and /or the Department of Housing and Urban Development within thirty (30) days, recommendation by the Planning Commission, and approval by the City Board of Directors provided the following requirements are met: (a) The land covers either a minimum area of 90,000 square feet or one city block exclusive of any alley. (b) The area is adjacent to, not diagonal from, the High Density Residential district. (c) Site development plans are submitted to the Planning Commission. As used in this section., the phrase-"adjacent to" shall mean the same as either "contiguous to" or "directly across a public right -of -way from." SECTION 2.
