AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10 -45 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO MAINTENANCE
CHARGES AT OAKLAND CEMETERY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 10 -45 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Little Rock pertaining to maintenance charges at
Oakland Cemetery is hereby amended to read as follows:
a) The Board of Commissioners of Oakland Cemetery
is hereby authorized to charge the owners of each lot
in Oakland Cemetery not provided with perpetual care
an annual fee not to exceed the sum of ten dollars
($10.00). Fees so collected under the provisions of
this section shall be used for the upkeep, and improve-
ment of all lots and the surrounding area of such lots
which are not provided with perpetual care or annual
care.
b) If any such care charge applicable to an unused lot
shall remain unpaid for a period of two (2) years, the
Board of Commissioners may in their discretion, declare
a forfeiture of the record owner's right of internment
in such delinquent lot and thereupon grant and convey
the right of internment therein to another upon payment
of the then fixed and applicable purchase price for such
lot together with the purchase price of perpetual care.
Any and all such transactions shall be made in keeping
with the provisions of Section 10 -49 of this Code of
Ordinances.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
