11826I 2 RESOLUTION NO. 11,826 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE FAMILY SERVICE 5 AGENCY TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY HEALTH INITIATIVE 6 SERVICES FOR THE LITTLE ROCK COMMUNITY IN AN 7 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $44,102; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 0 10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing prevention, 11 intervention, and youth development programs and services to enhance public safety 12 and community- building, and 13 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 04 -4281 to solicit proposals for 14 substance abuse treatment services for Little Rock adolescents, and 15 WHEREAS, the City provides enhancement services for the Little Rock 16 community with a specified number of providers based upon youth population, and 17 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted, 18 determined the lowest responsible and responsive bidder(s), and recommends contract 19 awards for substance abuse treatment services in the Little Rock community; and 20 WHEREAS, the Commission on Children, Youth and Families endorses this 21 contract award. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 23 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with the 25 Family Service Agency for Community Health Initiative services in an amount not to 26 exceed forty -four thousand one hundred two dollars ($44, 102). Funds for these programs are from FUTURE - Little Rock tax 2 revenue specified for prevention, intervention, and treatment programs, account 3 number 105 - 035 -T218. 4 Section 3. The term of the contract is for October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005. 5 Section 4. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or 6 adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not 7 affect the remaining portions of this resolution, which shall remain in full force and 8 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not 9 originally a part of this resolution. 10 Section 5. Repealer.
