ORDINANCE NO. 12,745
AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE
AN ALLEY RUNNING NORTH AND SOUTH
IN THE MIDDLE OF BLOCK 41, ORIGINAL
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 6th day of
December , 1972, asking that the Board of Directors vacate
and abandon the alley which runs North and South in the middle
of Block 41, Original City of Little Rock, said alley Witting
on the East sides of Lots 1 through 6 and on the West sides of
Lots 7 through 12 of said Block; and
WHEREAS, after due notice required by law, the Board has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that
the alley, hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedicated
to the public use as an alley; has not actually been used by the
public generally for more than five years prior to the filing
of said petition; that petitioners own all of the property abutting
on the alley to be vacated and have filed their written consent
to such abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare
will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of said alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock hereby releases, vacates
and abandons all of its rights together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the alley above described.
Section 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified
by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder
of Pulaski _County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.

A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE CLOSING OF AN ALLEY RUNNING
NORTH AND SOUTH IN THE MIDDLE OF BLOCK 41,
ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; PROVIDING
FOR THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICE, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 60t day of December,
1972, asking that the Board of Directors vacate the alley run-
ning North and South in the middle of Block 41, Original City
of Little Rock, and said petition being signed by the owners
of all of the property abutting on either side of the alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, that the 20th day of
February , 197 3, be fixed as the date for a hearing on
the petition to vacate the above described alley, and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing by pub-
lication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper
in Pulaski County having
