AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING CERTAIN FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS;
CREATING ADDITIONAL POSITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR THE SANITARY
LANDFILL DIVISION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The sum of $175,995.00 is hereby appropriated from Federal Revenue
Sharing funds to the 1973 Budget for the Sanitary Landfill Division to be used for
paying salaries and related costs for the hereinafter identified personnel provided
for said Sanitary Landfill Division and additional equipment, material and supplies
for use by said landfill division, as follows:
Salaries $36,495.00
Supplies
2.02 Clothing 100.00
2.07 Gasoline 1,400.00
Maintenance
4.04 Maintenance of Heavy Equipment 1,000.00
Contractural Services
6.08 Rentals of Equipment 9,000.00
Capital Outlay
7.02 1 Truck Scales 12,000.00
7.07 2 Dump Trucks 14,000.00
1 Pick -Up Truck 2,000.00
Total Budget Additions $ 75,995.00
Contract for 2' Earth Cap on old Landfill Site $ 100,000.00
Total Appropriation $ 175,995.00
SECTION 2. The following additional positions of employement are hereby created
within the Sanitary Landfill Division of the Department of Community Development with
the pay grade, classification and the maximum annual salary for each such employee set
opposite:
a) Three (3) Fee clerk
Spotters - Grade (P -5)
b) Three (3) Landfill utility
servicemen - Grade (P -6)
c) One Equipment Operator IV
Grade (P -7)
d)- One Equipment Operator V
Grade (P -8)
e) Two semi - skilled laborers
Grade (P -6)

SECTION 3. The following positions are hereby eliminated from the Sanitary
Landfill Budget for 1973:
a) Two (2) Fee Refuse Clerks One at annual salary of $4,956.00
Grade (P -2) One at annual salary of $4,626.00
b) Two (2) auto servicemen Annual salary per
and Oiler II each $5,209.00
SECTION 4. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to change the 1973
Budget in keeping with and to reflect the provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage.
