ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY
IN BLOCK 2, STRONG AND WATERS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 9th day of January 1973
askingthe Board of Directors to vacate and abandon all of the alley in Block 2,
Strong and Waters Addition to the City of Little Rock, as designated on the plat
of said Addition now appearing of record in Deed Book 1, Page 44 in the office
of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however to any public
easements in said alley; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of Directors
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to
be heard on the question and has ascertained that the alley, hereinbefore described;
has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as an alley, as herein described;
has not been actually used by the public generally for a period of at least five (5)
years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all of the owners of the property
abutting upon the alley to be vacated have filed with the Board of Directors their
written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and welfare will not
be adversely affected by the abandonment of such alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates
and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and
to the alley designated as follows:
*Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 21, Block 2 of Strong
and Waters Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, run thence North along the East lines of Lots 21, 22
23 and 24 a distance of 200 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot 24,
Block 2 of said Addition; run thence East a distance of 15 feet to the
Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 2 of said Addition; thence South
along the West lines of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Block 2 in said Addition
a distance of 200 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Block 2 of
said Addition, thence West a distance of 15 feet to the point of
beginning.

subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said alley.
SECTION Z. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk,
shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the
Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage.
