AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, OF A TRACT OF LAND DESCRIBED AS
SECTION "G ", TWIN LAKES SUBDIVISION, PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS, WHICH LAND IS CONTIGUOUS TO THE EXISTING
PRESENT CITY LIMITS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, upon the Petition of Thomas W. Parker, Trustee,
and others, and after due notice of a hearing on said petition,
which notice was published for the time and in the manner pre-
scribed by law, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
did on January 29th, 1973, enter its Order annexing the area
more specifically described in Section 1 hereof to the City of
Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, more than thirty days have elapsed within which
any interested person could institute proceedings in the Circuit
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, to prevent said annexation,
and there appeared no protestants to this annexation; and
WHEREAS, the area hereinafter particularly described in
Section 1 hereof is contiguous to and adjoins the existing city
limits of the City of Little Rock, and all proceedings prere-
quisite to the annexation of said area have been conducted as
required by law; and
WHEREAS, it is now desirable that said area, as herein-
after specifically described in Section 1 be annexed to the City
of Little Rock;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory in Pu-
laski County, Arkansas, to -wit:

ARKANSAS.
be, and the same is accepted as annexed to, and is hereby
made a part of the incorporated area of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas.

SECTION 2. It is hereby ascertained and declared that the
lands above described and hereby annexed are being devoted strict-
ly to urban uses; that there are valuable improvements made there-
on, and that said lands have been platted and developed in accord-
ance with the Ordinance and regulations of the City of Little
Rock, and that in order to secure the benefits to be derived from
compliance with the Ordinances and regulations of the City con-
cerning development of the above described land, it is necessary
that the said lands be immediately annexed. It is, therefore,
declared that an emergency exists, and this Ordinance being nec-
essary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety
of the area shall be in full force and take effect immediately
on and after its passage.
