AN ORDINANCE EXERCISING
APPROXIMATELY 43 ACRES
ARKANSAS; APPROPRIATING
FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING
PURPOSES.

OF LAND IN PULASKI COUNTY,
THE SUM OF $145,000 FROM
FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby accepts
the offer of the owners of the following described real property
situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas to sell said property to the
City of Little Rock for a total purchase price of $145,000.00:
The West one -half of the West one -half of the Northwest
Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section Eleven, Town-
ship One (1) South, Range 13 West, containing Ten acres;
Also a part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 10, Township 1, South Range 13, West,
described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner
of Section 10, and running thence south 80 rods to the
Southeast corner of the northeast quarter of the north-
east quarter, running thence West 80 rods to the south-
west corner of said northeast quarter of the noxtheast
quarter; thence north to the southside of Fourth Street
in the town of Mabelvale; thence in a northeasterly di-
rection along the south side of said Fourth Street to
the intersection of the section line between sections
3 and 10; thence north 880 50' east of said section line
3.49 chains to the beginning, except the right -of -way of
the Missouri Pacific Railroad, containing 33 acres more
or less according to the United States Survey, except
also that portion of said tract conveyed to American
Leigon Post No. 128, described as, beginning at a post
335 feet north of the southwest corner of the Northeast
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, Township
1 South, Range 13 West, running thence North along the
West line of said Northeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 10; 161 feet to a post at the line
of the right -of -way of the Arkansas Light & Power Com-
pany, and thence in a northeasterly direction 74 feet
along the line of the Arkansas Power & Light Company
right -of -way to a post on the ritjht -of -way of the public
road leading from Mablevale, and thence in a southeaster-
ly direction along said right -of -way 125 feet to a post,
and thence in a southwesterly direction to a post, the
place of beginning; and it is also intended by the Grantors
to convey unto the said Grantee, her heirs and assigns any
and all right, title and interest which we might have in
any and all other lands in Pulaski County formerly, owned
by Amos Morehart who died intestate April 16th 1947, and
his surviving widow, Emily Morehart, who died intestate
November 8th 1950.

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to proceed with the execution of any and all instruments and documents
that may be necessary for purchasing and consummating the purchase of
the herein described property vesting fee simple title in the City of
Little Rock in accordance with the Title Opinion of the City Attorney
and pay said purchase price to the person or persons entitled thereto
according to the Title Opinion of the City Attorney.
SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated from Federal Revenue
Sharing Funds the sum of $145,000.00 to be used for the payment of
the purchase price herein provided for.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
