ORDINANCE NO 12,917
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 39 -105 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES PERTAININ9 TO PARKING TO PROVIDE
FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF PARKING METER ZONES
AND OTHER RESTRICTED PARKING ZONES AND AREAS IN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AUTHORIZING THE UTILIZATION OF
POLICE CADETS IN THE ISSUANCE OF PARKING VIOLATIONS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
Rock Police Department, bearing a postmark the same date of the
violation, the penalty shall be One ($1.00) dollar.
b) There is hereby provided a penalty of Five ($5.00)
dollars for the parking violation in all unmetered restricted
zones and alleys in the City of Little Rock and for the second
and continuing violation of overtime parking in the parking
meter zones at one and the same meter for which the first vio-
lation occurred during the hours of each day for which such
parking is.-regulated by this Code. The City shall provide traffic
citation forms to be utilized by enforcement personnel in the
issuance of notice of violation of the parking provisions of
this Code for which penalties are fixed by this subsection (b).

SECTION 1. Section 39 -105 of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended to read as follows:

for the convenience of motorists, who shall place same in the
penalty boxes attached to the parking meters for the payment

of such violations. The penalty charge for overtime parking
in metered areas of $2.00 shall be paid by placing said sum

the penalty envelope and depositing same in the penalty

box or by paying same at the Little Rock Police Department.
Provided, however, should the penalty be placed in the penalty
box or paid to the Little Rock Police Department by 6:00 p.m.
on the date of the violation or by mailing same to the Little
Rock Police Department, bearing a postmark the same date of the
violation, the penalty shall be One ($1.00) dollar.

c) The Police Department is hereby authorized to utilize
police cadets in the administration and enforcement of parking
ordinances of the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage
