AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN
THE PROPOSED RIGHT OF WAY FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENTS
OF GEYER SPRINGS ROAD INCLUDING RELATED STORM DRAINAGE FACILITIES
AND FOR CERTAIN TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENTS RELATED TO THE
IMPROVEMENTS OF GEYER SPRINGS ROAD; DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY
TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby condemn for
street right -of -way and storm drainage purposes the following parcels
of real property lying in the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski,
State of Arkansas, to -wit:
Part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of

needed for construction purposes in connection with the reconstruc-

SECTION 4. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed
to file in the proper court proceedings for the condemnation of the
property described in Sections 1,2 and 3 hereof, and to secure an
order of such court permitting the City to take immediate possession
of said property upon posting a bond in an amount to be determined
by the court and to do any and all other things necessary in order
to obtain immediate possession of said property.
SECTION 5. Geyer Springs Road in its present condition is
inadequate to accommodate the flow of vehicular traffic utilizing
and attempting to utilize said street, thereby causing congestion
of traffic thereon and on streets adjacent thereto; and the proposed
improvement of said street is designed to relieve the congestion of
traffic thereby enhancing the health, peace and safety of the
citizens of the City of Little Rock. Now, therefore, an emergency
exists and this Ordinance being necessary to protect the health,
peace, and safety shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
