ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 8
OF THE FOREST HILL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, a Petition and Amended Petition were duly filed
with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
on the 21st day of August , 1973, and the 11th day of October
1973, respectively, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and
abandon an alley running east and west in Block 8, Forest Hill
Addition of the City of Little Rock, as designated on the Plat
of said addition now appearing of record in Deed Book No. 40,
page 576, in the office of the Recorder of the Pulaski County,
Arkansas, subject, however, to any public easements in said alley;
and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of
Directors had, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the alley herebefore described, has heretofore
been dedicated to the public use as an alley, as herein described;
has not actually been used by the public generally for a period
of at least 5 years subsequent to the filing of the Plat, and 5
years preceding the filing of the Petition; that all of the owners
of the property abutting upon the alley to be vacated have filed
with the Board of Directors their written consent to such abandon-
ment; and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of the alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates, and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of

the public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows:

Forest Hill Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in
said portion of said alley.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
