ORDINANCE NO. 12,819
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARTS OF SECTION 11, OF
ORDINANCE 121,625, APPROVED MARCH 29, 1972,
FIXING RATES FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE
SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That Section 1, paragraph (e), Item (5) of
Ordinance No. 12,625 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, approved
March 29, 1972, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
11(5) For all in excess of 93,300 cubic feet
of water used - 8� per 100 cubic feet
or portion thereof."
Section 2. That Section 1, paragraph (e), Item (6) of
Ordinance No. 12,625 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, approved
March 29, 1972, be and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That the provisions of this Ordinance are
separable, and if a section, provision or phrase shall be declared
invalid, it shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this
Ordinance.
Section 4. That it is hereby ascertained and declared that
the provisions of this Ordinance are necessary in order to remove
a hazard to the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the
City and can be obtained only be establishing the sewer charges fixed
in this Ordinance. It is, therefore, declared that an emergency
exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public peace, health and safety shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage.
