AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO REPAIR FIRE
DEPARTMENT LADDER TRUCK #7: APPROPRIATING FUNDS;
WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. A contract is hereby awarded to Wilkerson
Diesel, Inc. for a rebuilt GMC engine installed in Fire De-
partment Ladder Truck #7 at a cost not to exceed $3,800.00.
Said sum of money is hereby appropriated from the unappro-
priated balance of the General Fund.
SECTION 2. It is hereby found and determined that the
ladder truck identified in Section 1 hereof is not operable
and is needed immediately to provide the necessary fire pro-
tection in the City and that the rebuilt engine supplied by
Wilkerson Diesel, Inc. can be supplied and the Vehicle placed
back in service in one weeks time, therefore, an exceptional
situation is hereby declared to exist and competitive bidding
is hereby waived.
SECTION 3. Upon installation of the rebuilt engine operating
satisfactorily to the Chief of the Fire Department, the City
Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized to issue
the necessary voucher of the City of Little Rock in payment of
the purchase price therefor not to exceed the sum of $3,800.00.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
