13107r ORDINANCE NO 13,107 AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE REPAIR OF A TD -25C BULLDOZER AT THE LITTLE ROCK LANDFILL; WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING; APPROPRIATING FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, a TD -25C Serial No. 777 International Harvester bulldozer owned by the City and being used at the Little Rock landfill is now inoperable and in need of engine repair; and WHEREAS, inasmuch as Little Rock Road & Machinery Company is the only known supplier of parts for said bulldozer and it is urgent that this machine be put back into operation as soon as possible; and WHEREAS, it has been estimated that said engine repair will not exceed the cost of $9,500.00, and the necessary funds are not available in the Landfill Budget for this said repair. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. A contract for engine repair work on a TD -25C Serial No. 777 bulldozer owned by the City of Little Rock is hereby awarded to Little Rock Road & Machinery Company at a contract price not to exceed the sum of $9,500.00, which sum includes parts and labor. SECTION 2. The repair of the above identified bulldozer is determined by the Board of Directors to be an exceptional situation justifying the waiving of competitive bidding for this said repair work and said competitive bidding is hereby waived. SECTION 3. The sum of $9,500.00 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to defray the cost of repair work on the TD -25C bulldozer. SECTION 4. Upon completion of the repair work to the satisfaction of the Director of Community Development, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and di- rected to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment thereof not to exceed the sum of $9,500.00.
