AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
MAKE APPLICATION FOR LEAA FUNDS TO BE USED
FOR JUVENILE CRIME PREVENTION PROGRAM;
APPROPRIATING FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCKr ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to submit an application to the Arkansas Commission
for Crime and Law Enforcement for LEAA Grant Funds in the
amount of $26,120.00 to be used in a one year program to
reduce and prevent juvenile crime associated with public
school functions. Of the said sum $1,306.00 is the amount
to be provided by the City of Little Rock, $1,306.00 to be
provided by the State of Arkansas, and the remaining $23,508
in federal funds.
SECTION 2. The sum of $1,306.00 is hereby appropriated
from theinappropriated balance of the General Fund to provide
for the City's share of the cost of the Juvenile Crime Pre-
vention Program authorized in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
