ORDINANCE NO 13,016
AN ORDINANCE AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE
OF CERTAIN VEHICLES FOR USE BY THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 12,947; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received
pursuant thereto according to law for the purchase of sanitation
trucks and motorcycles for the police department; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidders have
been determined and it is the desire of the board of directors
to authorize the purchase of these vehicles from the lowest res-
ponsible and responsive bidders; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that two 16K word core
memories previously authorized to be purchased from Varian Data
Machines should instead be purchased from Dataram Corporation
for the reason that the Dataram memories are more compact and
have the same speed characteristics as that currently installed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bids on
sanitation trucks and police motorcycles have been determined
and contracts are hereby awarded as follows:

SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 12,947, passed by the Board of
Directors galy 23, 1974 is hereby amended in Section 1 thereof
to award the purchase of two 16K Word Core Memories to Dataram
Corporation rather than Varian Data Machines, with cost changed
from $6,500.00 to $8,000.00. Sufficient funds are available in
the original appropriation to accommodate this change.
SECTION 3. Upon delivery of the above identified items
complying in all respects with bidding specifications, the City

Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized to issue
the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of said purchase
price.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
