AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION "b" OF
SECTION 2 -23 of the CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
PERTAINING TO VACATIONS, SICK LEAVE, AND
MILITARY LEAVE AND AMENDING SUBSECTION "b"
OF SECTION 2 -25 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
PERTAINING TO HOLIDAYS AND SPECIAL LEAVE;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
N BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF

� SECTION 1. Subsection "b" of Section 2 -23 of the Code of
d' Ordinances, as amended, pertaining to payment for accrued

unused vacation time, shall be further amended to read as
follows:
`""' (b) Every Nonprobationary employee who has accrued
unused vacation time shall have such time paid
when he leaves the City's employment, whether by
resignation, retirement, lay -off, death, or dis-
h charge; provided, however, that such vacation
o time shall not exceed the amount which may be
>1 accrued as set forth in subsection (a) of this

ro (a SECTION 2. Subsection "b" of Section 2 -25 of the Code of

9 a Ordinances, as amended, pertaining to holidays and special
leave is hereby amended to read as follows:
(b) In addition to the holidays provided for in
subsection W hereof, the birthday of each
nonuniformed employee shall be observed as
a holiday by that employee. Further, one
discretionary day per calendar year shall be
observed by each nonuniformed employee pro-
vided the employee was in full time employment
of the City prior to July 1st of the calendar
year in which the discretionary holiday is to
be celebrated.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect- �e-`moactive to December 18, 1974.
