ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING
PART OF EAST 25TH STREET, LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
LOCATED BETWEEN BLOCK 36 AND BLOCK 42 OF BRAGG'S
SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 2nd
day of December, 1974, asking the Board of Directors to
vacate and abandon a part of East 25th Street lying between
Block 36 and Block 42, Bragg's Second Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the Plat of said
Edition, of record in Plat Record Book 2 at page 44 of the
records of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any
public easements in said street; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the street, more particularly described
hereinbelow, is not necessary or required for public use or
purposes; public interest or welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of same; and in order to further
provide for the public welfare, safety, comfort and convenience,
it is in the best interests of the City of Little Rock to vacate
said street.
Said City has the authority pursuant to Ark. Stats. 19 -3821:
et seq., to pass an ordinance vacating the above described
street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the

rights of the public generally, in and to that portion of
East 25th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas, described as follows:
Begin at the Northwest Corner of Block 42 of
Bragg's Second Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas; run thence East along the North
line of said Block 42 a distance of 163.2 feet,
more or less, to the Westerly right -of -way line
of Interstate 30;run thence Northeasterly along
said Westerly right -of -way line to the South line
of Block 36 Bragg's Second Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas; run thence West along
the South line of said Block 36 to the Southwest
Corner of said Block 36; run thence South to the
point of beginning;
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in
said street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the
County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
