ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING THE
REMAINDER OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 22, JONES & WORTHEN
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock proposes that, in order to better
provide for the public welfare, safety, comfort and convenience of the
inhabitants of the City of Little Rock, that the remaining portion of the
Alley in Block 22, Jones & Worthen Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, be vacated, abandoned and closed, under Arkansas Statutes Ann.
1 19 -2304.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the portion of the
alley, hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedicated to the public use
as an alley, as herein described; that all of the owners of the property
abutting upon the alley to be vacated have been notified of the Board of
Directors proposal to such abandonment; and that public interest and welfare
will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such portion of alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public
generally, in and to the portion of the alley designated as follows:
That portion of the Alley abutting Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
8, 9, 10, 11 & 12, Block 22, Jones and Worthen Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said alley.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and
recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
