12986ORDINANCE NO 12,986 AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR RENO- VATION WORK AT THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND NATURAL HISTORY; APPROPRIATING $2,250.00; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received pursuant thereto according to law for electrical renovation and emergency exit preparation work at the Museum of Science and Natural History; and WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder has been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize said electrical renovation and emergency exit pre- paration work at the Museum to the lowest responsible and re- sponsive bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bid on electrical renovation and emergency exit preparation work at the Museum of Science and Natural History has been determined and a contract is hereby awarded to Houston Electric Company of Little Rock, Arkansas for a contract price of $16,306.00. SECTION 2. The sum of $2,250.00 is hereby appropriated from Federal General Revenue Sharing funds to provide contingency, consulting engineer's fee and to meet the contract price inasmuch as only $16,145.00 has been previously set aside for this project. SECTION 3. Upon completion of the work, or from time to time as may be necessary, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the contract price. Said work shall comply in all particulars with bidding specifications on file in the office of the Director of Parks and Recreation of the City of Little Rock. -2- SECTION 4.
