AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
RECONSTRUCTION OF A PAVILION AT KANIS PARK;
APPROPRIATING FUNDS; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for the reconstruc-
tion of a pavilion at Kanis Park that was damaged by fire; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder has
been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to authorize this construction from the lowest responsible and
responsive bidder.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bid on
the reconstruction of the pavilion at Kanis Park has been deter-
mined and contract is hereby awarded to Tate Roberts Company of
Little Rock for a contract amount of $6,603.00.
SECTION 2. The sum of $6,603.00 is hereby appropriated
from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to defray
the cost of said reconstruction, which sum will be reimbursed
to the City by the City's fire insurance carrier.
SECTION 3. Upon completion of the reconstruction complying
in all respects with bidding requirements and specifications,
the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized
and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in pay-
ment thereof.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
