AN ORDINANCE CONDEMING A PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY WITH-
IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A PUBLIC BUILDING AND RELATED STORAGE FACILITY; DIRECT-
ING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby condemn for
public purpose being the construction of a public building with
related storage areas in connection with the City of Little Rock
material yeard the following parcel of real property lying in the
City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -wit:
A parcel of land in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
being the SE4, of the SW4 of the NE-1-4, Section 32, Township
1 North, Range 12 West and being more particularly bound
and described as follows:
Commencing at the SE corner of the E-12 of the N' of the NW4
of the SE4, Section 32, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, also being the
intersection of the Centerline of Avery Road with the East
Line of Jamison Road, thence NOo 26' 00" E along the east
line of the SE4, NW4, SE4 and along the east line of Jamison
Road 660.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence N 890 39'
21" W partly along the centerline of a chain link fence,
659.34 feet to the corner fence post of said fence; thence--
N 00 27' 24" E, 659.41 feet to an iron pin; thence S 890 42'
43" E, 659.07 feet to a point in the East line of Jamison
Road; thence S 00 26' 00" W, along said line of Jamison Road
660.06 feet to the point of beginning, containing 9.9839 acres
of land more or less.
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock hereby declares that the
above described parcel of land is needed for public purpose as
aforesaid and that it desires to acquire fee simple title to said
parcel which is presently owned by A. M. Keith and Leah D. Keith
and the City Attorney-is hereby authorized and directed to file
in the proper court proceedings under the City's power of eminent
domain for the condemnation of said parcel and secure an order of
said court permitting the City to take possession of said property
upon posing a bond in an amount to be determined by the court and
to do any and all other things necessary in order to obtain
immediate possession of said property.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
