ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING THAT PORTION OF THE ALLEY LYING
BETWEEN LOTS 4, 5 AND 6 AND 7, 8 AND 9, IN BLOCK 5, A. E. CALLAWAY
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, an ordinance was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 20th day of
October, 1976, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon
that portion of the alley lying between Lots 4, 5 and 6 and 7, 8
and 9, in Block 5, A. E. Callaway Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, subject, however, to any utility easements in said
alley; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the alley hereinabove described has heretofore been dedicated
to the public use as an alley; that the City of Little Rock is the
owner of the property abutting on that portion of the alley sought
to be closed and will use said alley in the expansion of its waste-
water utility garage and storage yard; and that public interest and
welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such
alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows:
That portion of the alley lying between Lots 4, 5 and 6 and
7, 8 and 9, in Block 5, A. E. Callaway Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public utility easements
located in said alley.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
