AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 31 -11 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO
NONLISTED TELEPHONES; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 31 -11 of the Code of Ordinances
pertaining to nonlisted telephones is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Sec. 31 -11. Nonlisted telephones; duty of company
to furnish list to chief of police;
penalty.
(a) Any person, firm or corporation engaged in providing
public telephone services in the City of Little Rock shall at
the request of the Little Rock Police Chief furnish him in
writing the name, address and telephone number of each subscriber
of any private or nonlisted telephone or telephones in the City,
together with the location of such telephone or telephones.
When such information is received from time to time by the
Littlelbck Police Chief, he shall maintain it as confidential
to be used solely by him or at his direction in emergency
situations or when he has reasonable grounds to believe that
such telephone or telephones are being used for unlawful
purposes.
(b) Any person, firm or corporation engaged in providing
public telephone services in the City of Little Rock who
fails or refuses to comply with this Section of the Code of
Ordinances shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction be fined up to $500.00, and the failure to furnish
such information shall be a separate offense for each day
such information is not furnished, commencing with the third
day after request for same js made.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
