ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING
PORTIONS OF VANCE STREET, A PORTION OF McALMONT
STREET, AN UNNAMED ALLEY RUNNING PARALLEL TO AND
BETWEEN BRAGG STREET AND VANCE STREET, AND AN
UNNAMED ALLEY RUNNING PARALLEL TO AND BETWEEN
VANCE STREET AND McALMONT STREET, AND A PORTION
OF EAST 30TH STREET, LOCATED WITHIN THE FOLLOWING
ADDITIONS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: RAPLEY
ESTATE, WATKINS ADDITION, AND BRAGG SECOND
ADDITION
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 20th
day of July , 1976, asking the Board of Directors
to vacate and abandon portions of Vance Street, a portion of
McAlmont Street, an unnamed alley running parallel to and between
Bragg Street and Vance Street, and an unnamed alley running
parallel to and between Vance Street and McAlmont Street, and
a portion of East 30th Street, located within the following
additions to the City of Little Rock: Rapley Estate, Watkins
Addition, and Bragg Second Addition, as designed on the plats
of the said Additions. The plat of Rapley Estate is now appear-
ing of record in Deed Book AB, at page 146; the plat of Watkins
Addition is now appearing of record in Mortgage Book AB -1, at
page 82; and, the plat of Bragg Second Addition is now appear-
ing of record in Plat Book 2, at page 44; all of which are
located in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, subject, however, to any public easements in the
aforementioned streets and alleys; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the streets and alleys, hereinbefore described,
have heretofore been dedicated to the public use as streets and
alleys, as herein described; have not been actually used by the
public generally for a period of at least five (5) years subsequent
to the filing of the plats; that all of the owners of the property
abutting upon the alleys to be vacated have filed with the Board
of Directors their written consenkto such abandonment; and that
public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by
the abandonment of such streets and alleys;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with
the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets and
alleys designated as follows:
(1) VANCE STREET
That portion of a 60' wide public rights -of -way
lying south of Roosevelt Road and adjacent to
Blocks 40 and 41, Braggs Second Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the NE corner Lot 7, Block 41, Braggs
Second Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, run S O1 019140" W 79.500 feet along
the west line of Vance Street and projected to the
south to a point on the north line of Fractional
Section 14, T -1 -N, R -12 -W; thence run S 89 °24120 "E
60.001 feet along said north line to a point of
intersection with the east line of Vance Street
projected south; thence run N O1 019140 "E 78.600 feet
along said east line to the NW corner Lot 6, Block
40, Braggs Second Addition; thence run N 88 032146"
W 60.00 feet to the point of beginning.
(2) AND ALSO:
McALMONT STREET
that portion of a 60' wide public rights -of -way,
lying south of Roosevelt Road and adjacent to
Blocks 39 and 40, Braggs Second Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the NE corner Lot 7, Block 40,
Braggs Second Addition to the City of Little
Rock, run S O1 °19'40 "W 74.000 feet along the west
line of McAlmont Street and projected to the
south to a point on the north line of Fractional
Section 14, T -1 -N, R -12 -W; thence run S 89 024120"
E, 60.005 feet along said north line to a point of
intersection with the east line of McAlmont Street

along said east line to a point 33.8 feet north
of the SW corner of Lot 13, Block 39, said addi-
tion; thence run N 88 °00'52 "W 30.000 feet to a
point in the center line of McAlmont Street; thence
run N O1 019140 "E 5.911 feet along said center line
to a point; thence run N 88 °31137 "W 30.000 feet to
the point of beginning.
(3) AND ALSO:
that portion of a 20' wide alley lying south of
Roosevelt Road and adjacent to Lots 6 and 7,
Block 41, Braggs Second Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Beginning at the NE corner Lot 6, Block 41, Braggs
Second Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, run S O1 019140 "W 50.00 feet to the
SE corner said Lot 6; thence run S 88 032'46 "E 20.000
feet to the SW corner Lot 7, Block 41, said addition;
thence run N O1 119140 "E 50.000 feet to the NW corner
said Lot 7; thence run N 88 032146 "W 20.000 feet to
the point of beginning.

that portion of a 20' wide alley lying south of

Rock Island and Pacific Railroad; more particularly

Commencing at the NW corner of the NE 1/4, Fractional
Section 14, T -1 -N, R -12 -W; Pulaski County, Arkansas
(point also being the NE corner Lot 1, Rapley Estates);
run S89 °24120 "E 636.287 feet along the north line of
said Fractional Section 14 to the point of beginning
(point being the NW corner Lot 1 Rapley Estates as
established by Supreme Court Decision #3074); thence

more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the SE corner Lot 4, Block 5, Watkins
Addition to the City of Little Rock, run N89 050'23 "W
563.990 feet along the south lines of Lots 3 and 4,
Block 5, said addition to the SW corner Lot 3, Block 5,
said addition (said point also being located on the
east addition line of Rapley Estates); thence run

SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified
by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
