AN ORDINANCE AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF LIGHTING EQUIPMENT FOR THE
METROCENTRE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT; APPRO-
PRIATING FUNDS; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received
pursuant thereto according to law for lighting equipment for the
Metrocentre Improvement District; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidders have been
determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize
the purchase of said lighting equipment from the lowest responsible
and responsive bidders; and
WHEREAS, in keeping with its commitment to provide funds for
the Metrocentre Improvement District project, the Board of Directors
desires to make an appropriation for said project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Contracts are hereby awarded to various bidders for
the purchase of lighting equipment for the Metrocentre project as set
out on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as though
set out herein word for word. A complete listing and description of
said lighting equipment and the costs therefor are fully set out on
the said Exhibit "A ". Total cost for such purchases is $202,798.81.
SECTION 2. The following appropriations are hereby made for the
purchase of the items authorized in Section 1 hereof and for funding
of Phase Two construction, all for the Metrocentre Improvement District:
a) the sum of $139,277.00 from previously reserved
General Funds
b) the sum of $100,723.00 from the unappropriated balance
of the General Fund
c) the sum of $71,000.00 from the unappropriated balance
of the Street Fund
SECTION 3. The items authorized to be purchased herein shall at
all times comply with bidding specifications on file in the office of
the Purchasing Department. The City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrants from
the funds appropriated in Section 2 hereof in payment of the contract
prices.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
