ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING PORTIONS
OF BRAGG STREET LYING SOUTH OF ROOSEVELT ROAD AND
ADJACENT TO BRAGG'S SECOND ADDITION AND SHERMAN STREET,
E. 28th STREET, AND E. 29th STREET LYING EAST OF THE
EAST R/W LINE OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY I -30 AND ADJACENT
TO PETTEFER'S ADDITION AND COX'S ANNEX TO PETTEFER'S
ADDITION AND PORTIONS OF E. 30th STREET AND DORIS STREET
ADJACENT TO BIDDLE ADDITION AND QUAPAW ADDITION
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 31st
day of January
, 1977, asking the Board of Directors to
vacate and abandon portions of Bragg Street, Sherman Street,
E. 28th Street, E. 29th Street, E. 30th Street and Doris Street
located within the following additions to the City of Little Rock:
Pettefer's Addition, Bragg's Addition, Cox's Annex to Pettefer's
Addition, Biddly Addition, and Quapaw Addition as designed on
the plats of the said Additions. The plat of Pettefer's Addition
is now appearing of record in Deed Book 7 , at 109
page the
plat of Cox's Annex to Pettefer's Addition is now appearing of
record in Book 1 , at page. 34 ; and, the plat of Biddle Addition
is now appearing of record in Book 2 , at page37 ; the plat of
Quapaw Addition is now appearing of record in Book AB at page
333, and the plat of Bragg Second Addition is now appearing of
record in Plat Book 2, at page 44; all of which are located in
the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject,
however, to any public easements in the aforementioned streets
and alleys; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the streets and alleys, hereinbefore described,
have heretofore been dedicated to the public use as streets and
alleys, as herein described; have not been actually used by the
public generally for a period of at least five (5) years subse-
quent to the filing of the plats; that all of the owners of the
property abutting upon the alleys to be vacated have filed with
the Board of Directors their written consent to such abandonment;

and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such streets and alleys;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with
the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets and
alleys designated as follows:
(1) PETTEFERS ADDITION AND COX'S ANNEX TO PETTEFERS ADDITION
Portions of Sherman Street, E. 28th Street and E. 29th
Street lying east of the east R/W line of Interstate High-
way I -30 and adjacent to Block 10 of Pettefers Addition
and Block 13, Cox's Annex to Pettefers Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more parti-
cularly described as follows:
Beginning at the SE corner of Block 10, Pettefers Addition
run N 00 149'43" E 216.86 feet along the west R/W of Sherman
Street to a point on the east R/W line of Interstate High-
way I -30; thence run N 22 °02'25" E 159.18 feet along said
east R/W line to a point on the east line of Block 14,
Cox's Annex of Pettefer's Addition; thence departing from
said east R/W line run S 00 149'43" W 5.30 feet along the
east R/W line of Sherman Street to the SW corner of Block
14, Cox's Annex of Pettefer's Addition; thence run S 891
08'19" E 46.96 feet along the north line of E. 28th Street
to a point on the Quapaw line (SE corner Block 14); thence
run S 00 °18143" W 60.00 feet along said Quapaw line to the
NE corner Block 13, Cox's Annex to Pettefer's Addition;
thence run N 89 008119" W 47.50 feet along the south line of
E. 28th Street to the NW corner Block 13 said addition; thence
run S 00 049143" W 300.00 feet along the east R/W line of
Sherman Street to the SW corner Block 13 said addition;
thence run S 89 008120" E 50.20 feet along the north R/W
line of E. 29th Street to a point on the Quapaw line; thence
run S 00 018'43" W 60.00 feet along said Quapaw line to a
point on the south R/W line of E. 29th Street; thence run
N 89 008120" W 189.24 feet along the south line of E. 29th
Street to a point on the east R/W line of Interstate Highway
I -30; thence run N 15 030143" E 62.01 feet along said east
R/W line to a point on the north R/W line of E. 29th Street;
thence run S 89 °08'20" E 65.18 feet along said north R/W
line to the point of beginning;
Area containing 0.6994 acres more or less.
(2) PART OF QUAPAW ADDITION AND BIDDLE ADDITION
Portion of E. 30th Street adjacent to Block 2, Biddle
Addition and that portion of E. 30th Street and Doris
Street adjacent to Block 1, Quapaw Addition, to the City
of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particu-
larly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of a line 64 feet
north and parallel to the north R/W line of the Chicago,
Rock Island and Pacific Railroad with the west line of
Doris Street (also being the east R/W line of Interstate
Highway 30) run N 00 °57'23" E 505.80 feet along said west
line to a concrete R/W marker; (said point being the NE
corner Lot 1, Block 1, Quapaw Addition); thence run N
06 009141" E 68.35 feet to a point on the south addition line
of Biddle Addition; thence continue on N 06 °09141" E 12.05
feet to a point on the north R/W line of East 30th Street;

thence run S 89 °08'20" E 26.19 feet along said north
R/W line of E. 30th Street to the point of intersection
with the east line of Doris Street extended; thence run
S 00 057123" W 12.00 feet along said R/W extension to a
point on the south addition line Biddle Addition; thence
continue on S 00 057'23" W 565.91 feet along the east R/W
line of Doris Street to a point 64' north of the north
R/W line of said railroad; thence run S 77 °30'55" W 34.43
feet and parallel to said north R/W line to the point of
beginning:
Area containing 0.4406 acres more or less.
(3) A portion of Bragg Street lying south of Roosevelt Road
and adjacent to Block 41, Bragg's Second Addition to the
City of Little Rock, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the NW corner of Lot #6, Block 41, Bragg's
Second Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas run S O1 119140" W 84.00 feet along the east R/W
line of Bragg Street to a point on the north line of frac-
tional Section 14, T -1 -N, R -12 -W; thence run N 89 124'20" W
78.12 feet along said north line to a point; thence run N
43 054'42" E 115.44 feet to the point of beginning:
Area containing 0.0753 acres more or less.
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in
the streets and alleys.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified
by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
