AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTIONS (a), (b), AND (c) OF
SECTION 39 -105 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO
PARKING, PARKING VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
SECTION I. Subsections (a), (b), and (c) of Section 39 -105 of the Code of
Ordinances are hereby amended to read as follows:
a) There is hereby provided a penalty of Two ($2.00) Dollars for violation
of overtime parking in the City of Little Rock in all unmetered restricted and
metered parking areas. A combination ticket and envelope shall be provided in the
issuance of a violation citation for the convenience of motorists. The penalty
charge for overtime parking of $2.00 shall be paid by placing the said sum in
the penalty envelope and depositing same in the penalty box attached to the park-
ing meters or by paying same at the Little Rock Police Department.
b) There is hereby provided a penalty of Five ($5.00) Dollars for the
parking violation in alleys. The City shall provide traffic citation forms to
be utilized by enforcement personnel in the Issuance of notice of violation of
the parking provision of this Code for which penalties are fixed by this subsection
(b).
c) The provisions of Sections 39 -97, 39 -100, 39--101, 39 -102 and 39 -103 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock pertaining to parking and
penalties for violation thereof, except the portions therein pertaining to parking
in alleys, shall be suspended to permit unlimited free parking on the following
days only:
I. Saturday
2. Sunday
3. Memorial Day
4. Labor Day
5. Washington's Birthday
F 6. Columbus Day
7. Veterans' Day
8. 4th of July
9. Thanksgiving
10. Friday after Thanksgiving
II. December II through December 25
12. New Year's Day
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days
after its passage.
