AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXERCISE AN OPTION FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
PARCEL OF LAND TO BE USED FOR RIGHT OF WAY
PURPOSES; DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO
PREPARE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS; APPROPRIATING
FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized, acting for
and on behalf of the City of Little Rock, to exercise an Option to
Purchase from Mid -State Land Company for the purchase of a parcel of
land described as Lot 4, Block 4, Westwood Addition to the City of
Little Rock, to be used for right of way purposes in the extension
of Barrow Road south of Asher Avenue in conformance with the Master
Street Plan, subject to approval of title by the City Attorney's
office. Total consideration for said purchase is $33,500.00.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney's office is hereby directed to
take whatever action is necessary to effectuate the purchase of said
property.
SECTION 3. The sum of $33,500.00 is hereby appropriated from
the unappropriated balance of the Street Fund to defray the cost
of purchase of said Lot 4, Block 4, Westwood Addition as authorized
in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
