3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR CHICOT AT BUNCH
4 ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

6 WHEREAS, drainage improvement is warranted and bids were solicited for Chicot Road at Bunch
7 Road, Bid No. 2012 -259; and,
8 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
9 meeting specifications in the amount of Thirty-Six Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety -Five and 60/100
10 Dollars ($36,295.60), being Thirty-Two Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety -Six Dollars ($32,996.00) plus
11 10% contingencies;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
13 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
15 Construction Group, Inc., for Drainage Improvements at Chicot Road and Bunch Road in the amount of
16 Thirty-Six Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety -Five and 60/100 Dollars ($36,295.60), Thirty-Two Thousand,
17 Nine Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars ($32,996.00 plus) 10% contingencies.
18 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from the 2012 % -Cent Capital Sales Tax Project
19 Funds.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
21 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
22 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
23 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
24 resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
26 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
27 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
