AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF
REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS FOR A PUBLIC PURPOSE; DIRECTING THE
CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PRO-
CEEDINGS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby condemn for a public
purpose related to tourist meeting and entertainment facilities the following
parcels of real property lying in the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski,
State of Arkansas, to -wit:
North 25 feet of Lot 9, and all of Lots 10, 11 and
12, Block 116, Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock hereby declares that the above
described parcels of land are needed for a public purpose related to providing
tourist meeting and entertainment facilities in tbe.City of Little Rock, and that
it desires to acquire fee simple title to said parcels which are presently owned
by Metropolitan Trust Company and Justin Matthews, III, Eva M. Hale, and
Betty Ann Couch, as Successor Trustees, and the City Attorney is hereby
authorized and directed to file in the proper court proceedings under the City's
Power of Eminent Domain for condemnation of said parcels and secure an order
of said Court permitting the City to take possession of said property upon posting
a bond in an amount to be determined by the Court and to do any and all other
things necessary in order to obtain immediate possession of said property.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage.
