ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING
A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 5 OF RUSSELL'S
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 23rd day of May ,
1978, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon all of
an alley in Block 5 of Russell's Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas as designated on the plat of the said Addition,
certified copy of which was attached to the petition, subject,
however, to any public easements in said alley; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the alley, hereinbefore described, has hereto-
fore been dedicated to the public use as an alley, as herein
described; has not been actually used by the public generally
for a period of at least five (5) years subsequent to the filing
of the plat; that all of the owners of the property abutting upon
the alley to be vacated have filed with the Board of Directors
their written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest
and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment
of such alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with
the rights of the public generally, in and to the alley designated
as follows:

Beginning at the SW corner of Lot 10, Block
5, Russell's Addition to.the City of Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, thence west
20 feet to the SE corner of Lot 9, Block 5
of said Russell's Addition, thence N 194.40
feet to a point, said point being on the
south right of way line of the Missouri
Pacific Railroad, thence in an easterly
direction along the said right of way line
20.37 feet to a point, said point being
when the south right of way line of the
Missouri Pacific Railroad intersects with
the west line of Lot 13, Block 5, of said
Russell's Addition; thence south 190.78
feet to the point of beginning.
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in
said alley.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the
County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
