AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND
MAKING SAME A PART OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
AND ASSIGNING SAME TO WARDS
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, by the owner of the hereinafter described lands,
praying that said lands be annexed to and made a part of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of April, 1978, the County Court of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, found that the petition was signed by a majority of the
owners in area and in number of the following described lands located in
Pulaski County, Arkansas; that said lands are contiguous and adjoining the
present corporate limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that an accu-
rate plat or map of lands had been filed with and made a part of said peti-
tion; that proper notice had been given for the time and in the manner pres-
cribed by law, and that all things pertaining thereto had been done in the
manner prescribed by law, and that said lands should be annexed to and made
a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, subject to the acceptance of
same by the Board of Directors of said City at the proper time as provided
by law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order of annex-
ation made by the County Court has expired and no appeal has been taken from
said order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described lands contiguous to and
adjoining the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and the same are hereby,
accepted as part of and annexed to and made a part of the City of Little
Rock:
Part of the NE 1/4 NE 1/4 and Part of the SE 1/4 NE 1/4,
Section 16, and part of the NW 1/4 NW 1/4 and Part of the
SW 1/4 NW 1/4, Section 15, T1N, R11W, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, described by metes and bounds as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the S 1/2 NE 1/4
NE 1/4, Section 16, T1N, R11W, Pulaski County, Arkansas;
thence run S88° 56'E, 30 ft. to the point of beginning;
which point is the southwest corner of Lot 84, Hermitage
Home Sites Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas; thence continue S88° 56'E, along the
South line of said addition, 1,719.7 ft. to the southeast
corner of Lot 99 of said addition; thence S10° 44'59 "E,
202.81 ft. to a point; thence S22° 57149 "E, 174.5 ft. to
a point; thence S26° 51'12 "E, 133.07 ft. to a point on the
northerly right -of -way line of the East Belt Freeway;
thence Southwesterly and Northwesterly along said Northerly
right -of -way line the following bearings and distances:
S48 °34'53 "W, 45.87 ft.; S530 52114 11W, 276.26 ft.; S610
36'16 "W, 375.77 ft.; S720 43143 11W, 384.12 ft.; S860 04148 11W,
304.37 ft.; S890 41144 "W, 616.12 ft.; N10 46130 11W, 178.16 ft.;
N50 32'03 "W, 190.57 ft. and N89° 13112 "W, 10.0 ft. to a point
on the East right -of -way line of Fourche Dam Pike; thence
N20 01'44 "E along the East right -of -way line of Fourche Dam
Pike, 653.23 ft, to the point of beginning containing 37.5231
acres, more or less.
AND
All public rights -of -way adjacent to the above described lands.
Section 2. That the above described lands shall be annexed to and
made a part of Ward No. 2 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and
the same shall henceforth be a part of said Ward as fully as existing parts
of said Ward.
