ORDINANCE NO. 13,448
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, OF CERTAIN LANDS
LOCATED IN SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 12
WEST, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
entered its Order on March 17, 1978, upon the Petition of
S & L Service Corporation, W. E. and G. R. Vroman d /b /a
Industrial Land Development Associates, and Max R. Davis,
comprising a majority of the total number of real estate
owners of the following- described lands, after due notice
of hearing on said Petition for the time and in the manner
prescribed by law, ordering the annexation of the following -
described lands located in Pulaski County, Arkansas:
Part of Section 28, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, more particulary described as: Beginning
at the SW corner of the SE4 SW4 said Section 28;
thence Northerly along the West line of the Ea SW4
and the West line of the SE4 NW4 said Section 28,
said West line being the present City Limits line,_
to a point on the Northerly right -of -way line of
West 65th Street; thence Easterly along said Northerly
right -of -way line to a point on the Westerly right -of-
way line of the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Rail-
way; thence Southwesterly along said westerly right -
of -way line to a point on the South line of the SE4
SA said Section 28, thence Westerly along said South
line to the Southwest corner thereof and the point of
beginning, containing 84.6 acres more or less, includ-
ing rights of way of all adjacent and abutting streets;
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have elapsed since the
entry of said Order of the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and no person, firm or corporation has instituted
any proceeding in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
or elsewhere, to prevent such annexation, and no protestants
have appeared and no notice given to the authorities of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, of any attempt to vacate, review, set
aide or appeal from said Order of the County Court; and
WHEREAS, said above - described lands are contiguous to and
adjoin the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, acting
by and through this Board of Directors, does hereby approve the
annexation of, and does hereby accept and make a part of the in-
corporated area of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, all of the
lands described hereinabove.
Section 2. It is further ordered that when two copies of
the entire proceedings in the Pulaski County Court concerning
this annexation have been prepared and duly filed by the Pulaski
County Clerk, one copy of said proceedings shall be delivered to
and filed with the Secretary of State of Arkansas, pursuant to
Arkansas Statutes (1947) Section 19 -305.
