ORDINANCE NO 13,447
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS AND MAKING SAME A PART OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk of Pulaski County,
Arkansas by the owners of the hereinafter described lands praying that said
lands be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, on April 3, 19 78 the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas
found that the petition was signed by a majority of the total number of real
property owners in said area proposed to be annexed and by the owners of more
than one -half of the acreage of said area; that said lands are contiguous and
adjoining the present corporate limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
that an accurate map of said lands had been filed with and made a part of
said petition; that proper notice had been given for the time and in the
manner prescribed by law; and that all things pertaining thereto had been done
in the manner prescribed by law and that said lands should be annexed to and
made a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, subject to acceptance of
same by the Board of Directors of said city at the proper time as provided by
law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order of
annexation made by the Pulaski County Court has expired and no appeal has
been taken from said order.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION I. The following described lands contiguous to and adjoining
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas be and the same are hereby accepted as
part of and annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock:
Section "A" Plot No 3 'Birchwood Addition" containing
Lots 148 thru 170, Lots 173 thru 177 and Lot 199
located in part of the SE4—„ NW4 and part of the SW4,
NE4, all in Section 4, TIN, R13W Pulaski County, Arkansas.
AND
"Markham Pines Addition" containing Lot "A ", Lot 171,
Lots 178 thru 187, inclusive, Lots 189 thru 198,
inclusive, and Lots 200 thru 220, inclusive, located
in part of the SE4 of the NW4, Section 4, TIN, R13W,
Pulaski County, Arkansas.

AND
A part of the SE4 of the NWw, Section 4, TIN, R13W
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described
as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot
171, Markham Pines Addition; thence NOI 0 00' W171.9' to
the South right-of-way line of Markham Street; thence
S890051W and along the said South right -of -way line
of Markham Street 120.0' to the East right -of -way line
of Alamo Drive; thence SOI°00'E and along the said
East right -of -way line of Alamo Drive 171.9' to the
Northwest corner of Lot 171, Markham Pines Addition;
thence N890 OOE and along the North line of said Lot
171 Markham Pines Addition 120.0' to the point of
beginning containing 0.5 acres more or less.
AND
All public rights -of -way adjacent to the above described
lands.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage.
