AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR PLANNING GRANT
FUNDS; APPROPRIATING FUNDS; and FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to make
application for Housing & Urban Development Section 701 Planning
Grant Funds, administered by the Arkansas Department of Local
Services, in the amount of $30,000 to enable the City to make
a Planning Study of the Downtown area, including planning and
development of the Riverfront and key private and public develop-
ments in the area, to reinforce the importance of the Riverfront
to the Downtown area.
SECTION 2. The sum of $10,000 is hereby appropriated from
the unappropriated balance of the City's General Fund to provide
the City's matching Share of Housing & Urban Development Section
701 Planning Grant Funds for a Planning Study of the Downtown
Area.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
