ORDINANCE NO. 13,426
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, OF LOT 2, J.M.H. SUBDIVISION AND
OTHER PROPERTY, WHICH IS CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT CITY
LIMITS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, upon the petition of John Michael Henderson,
et al., and after due notice of a hearing on said petition,
which notice was published for the time and in the manner
prescribed by law, the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, did on February 27, 1978, enter its Order annexing
the area hereinafter described to the City of Little Rock;
and
WHEREAS, more than 30 days have elapsed within which
any interested person could institute proceedings in the
Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, to prevent said
annexation and no party did so, and there appeared no protestants
to this annexation; and
WHEREAS, the area hereinafter described is contiguous
to and adjoins the existing city limits of the City of
Little Rock, and all proceedings prerequisite to the annexation
of said area have been conducted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, it is now desirable that said area be annexed
to the City of Little Rock;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following- described property in
Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:
Lot 2, J.M.H. Subdivision, being a part of the NE 1/4
of the NW 1/4 of Section 33, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, Pulaski County, Arkansas.

A tract of land described as: Beginning at the half
section corner to Sections 28 and 33, Township 2 North,
Range 13 West, thence South 89.200 East 632 1/2 links,
thence South 316 1/4 links, thence North 89.20° West
632 1/2 links, thence North 316 1/4 links to the point
of beginning, containing 2 acres and located in the
Northwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter, Section 33, Township 2 North, Range 13 West,

Including all adjoining and abutting streets and rights -
of -way on all of the aforesaid land.
be, and the same hereby is accepted as annexed and is annexed
to, and is hereby made a part of the incorporated area of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. It is hereby ascertained and declared that
the said lands above described and hereby annexed are or
will be devoted strictly to urban uses; that valuable improve-
ments will be made thereon and that said lands are being
platted and developed in accordance with the Ordinances and
regulations of the City of Little Rock, and that in order to
secure the benefits to be derived from compliance with the
Ordinances and regulations of the City concerning development
of the above - described land, it is necessary that the said
lands be immediately annexed. It is, therefore, declared
that an emergency exists, and that this Ordinance being
necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health,
and safety of the area, shall be in full force and take
effect immediately on and after its passage.
