ORDINANCE NO. 13,407
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TERRITORIES TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, a petition by a majority of the real estate owners of
the hereinafter described lands was filed with the County Clerk of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, on October 14, 1977, praying that said lands
be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after publication of due notice of the hearing on said
petition given for the time and in the manner prescribed by law, a
hearing was held on the 15th day of November, 1977, and the County
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, found that the petition was signed
by the required number of real property owners in said area proposed to
be annexed and by the owners of over one -half of the acreage in said
area; that said lands are contiguous and adjoin the corporate limits
of the City of Little Rock; that an accurate map of the territory to
be annexed had been made and filed with the petition and that the prayer
of the petitioners should be granted and the hereinafter described lands
annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the statutory period of thirty days has now expired for
any person to appeal to the Pulaski County Circuit Court from said
order of annexations and no such appeal has been taken from such order
of annexation; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That from and after the passage and approval of this
ordinance, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, in accordance with the
laws of the State of Arkansas, and with full approval of its Board of

Directors does hereby accept said annexation, and the following
described lands are hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
A part of the NEB NW1 of Section 33, Township 2 North,
Range 13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particu-
larly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the West � of the
West � of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
of said Section; thence, run North parallel with the
quarter section line a distance of 660 0' to the point
of beginning; thence, continuing North along said line a
distance of 295.01; thence West parallel to the East -
West Quarter section line a distance of 295.01; thence
South parallel with the North -South Quarter section line
295.0'; thence East parallel to the East -West Quarter
section line 295.0' to the point of beginning, containing
2.00 acres, more or less,
including that part of Hinson Loop Road which is included
in the above description and which abuts the above described
lands not heretofore annexed and made a part of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The above described lands as accepted by this ordinance
shall be and become a part of the fifth ward of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas.
SECTION 3. It is hereby ascertained and declared that the above
described contiguous territory is in immediate need of fire, police,
and sanitary services of the City in order to protect the public health,
safety and convenience of the inhabitants of both the City and said
contiguous territory, and it is, therefore, declared that an emergency
exists requiring this ordinance to take effect and be in force from
and after its adoption and it is so ordained.
