ORDINANCE NO. 14,014
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND MAKING SAME A PART
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, by the owner of the hereinafter
described lands, praying that said lands be annexed to and made a
part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, on the second day of February 1981, the County
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, found that the petition was
signed by a majority of the owners in area and in number of the
following described lands located in Pulaski County, Arkansas;
that said lands are contiguous and adjoining the present
corporate limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that an
accurate plat or map of said lands had been filed with and made a
part of said petition; that proper notice had been given for the
time and in the manner prescribed by law, and that all things
pertaining thereto had been done in the manner prescribed by law,
and that said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, subject to the acceptance of same
by the Board of Directors of said City at the proper time as
provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from
said order of annexation made by the County Court has
expired and no appeal has been taken from said order.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described lands
contiguous to and adjoining the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, be, and the same are hereby, accepted as part
of and annexed to and made a part of the City of Little
Rock:
The following described area, all lying wholly within
Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:
Beginning at the SE corner of the N 1/2 of the NW 1/4
of the SE 1/4, Section 32, run N 0° 26' 00" E, along
the E line of the NW 1/4, SE 1/4, and along the E line
of the existing city limits, 660.0 feet to a point;
thence N 89" 39' 21" W, 659.34 feet to a corner fence
post; thence N 0° 27' 24" E, 659.41 feet to an iron
pen; thence S 89" 42' 43" E, 629.07 feet to a point on
the W line of Jamison Road; thence N along the W line
of Jamison Road on a line that is parallel to and 30
feet W of the E line of the SW 1/4, NE 1/4, Section 32,
a distance of 660 feet, more or less, to a point on the
N line of said SW 1/4, NE 1/4, said point being on the
S line of the existing city limits; thence E along the
existing city limits, 50.0 feet to a point on the E
line of Jamison Road; thence S parallel to and 20 feet
E of the W line of the E 1/2, of the E 1/2, Section 32,
and along the E line of Jamison Road, a distance of
1980.0 feet, more or less, to a point on the S line of
the N 1/2, of the NE 1/4, of the SE 1/4, Section 32;
thence W 20.0 feet to the point of beginning. Said
parcel contains 11.36 acres more or less, and is to
include all adjacent and abutting streets and
rights -of -way.
