ORDINANCE NO. 14,013
ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING
AND CLOSING A PORTION OF WOLFE STREET LYING
BETWEEN THE SOUTH LINE OF WEST NINTH-STREET
AND THE NORTH LINE OF WEST TENTH STREET,
AND LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS 10 AND 11, MARSHALL
AND WOLFE'S ADDITION, LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Arkansas Childrens Hospital has duly filed a
Petition with the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, on the 6th day of February, 1981, . asking the
Board of Directors to vacate and abandon all of that portion
of Wolfe Street lying between the south line of West Ninth
Street and the north line of West Tenth Street, and lying
between Blocks 10 and 11 of Marshall and Wolfe's Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the
plats of said additions now appearing of record in Record
Book AB at Page 185, said books being in the Office of the
Clerk and Ex- Officio Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
subject, however, to any public easements on said Wolfe
Street, and
WHEREAS, after due notices required by law have been
given, the Board of Directors has, at the time and place
mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be
heard on this question and has ascertained that the portion
of Wolfe Street hereinabove described, has heretofore been
dedicated to the public for use as a street, and has been
used by the general public; the Arkansas Childrens Hospital
is the owner of all of the property abutting upon said portion
of Wolfe Street, and Arkansas Childrens Hospital, as Petitioner
herein, seeks this ordinance; the public interest and welfare
will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of the
subject portion of Wolfe Street; the public interest and
welfare will be increased and will be benefited by approval
of the Petition of Arkansas Childrens Hospital;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together
with the rights of the public generally, in and to that
portion of Wolfe Street, Little Rock, Arkansas, designated
as follows:
That portion of Wolfe Street lying between the
south line of West Ninth Street and the north line
of West Tenth Street, and lying between Blocks 10
and 11 of Marshall and Wolfe's Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
This release shall be subject to any public utility easements
located on or in the above described portion of Wolfe Street.
SECTION 2: A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk for Little Rock, Arkansas, shall be filed in
the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and shall be
recorded in the Deed records of Pulaski County.
SECTION 3: The ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
